The Downtown Morristown Association was formed back in the early 1900's to represent the interests of the majority of property and business owners in the central business district of Morristown, Tennessee. We have been called everything from the Downtown Merchants Association to the Central Morristown Business Association and renamed in 1993 to our current name. The DMA is a volunteer non-profit organization that is operated by a membership elected Board of Directors. The Board of Directors elect officers in January of each year. We have regular Board meetings and an Annual Membership meeting every February. Mission Statement The mission of the Downtown Morristown Association is to preserve and enhance the Central Morristown District working with the City of Morristown, Hamblen County, and Chamber of Commerce officials. The DMA is a non-profit volunteer based organization chartered in the State of Tennessee. The DMA actively seeks new members and is open to residents and businesses of Morristown, Tennessee. We have three levels of voting membership (Gold, Silver and Bronze) and a special friend of downtown membership (non-voting) designed for those who want to contribute to the exciting changes and events of Downtown. All members, including friends, are encouraged to attend monthly DMA meetings held the first Wednesday of each month. |
