Loads of Fun at the Morristown TN Main Street Festival

Morristown Main Street Festival

Join thousands of your neighbors and friends on the Fourth Friday of every month April through September in historic downtown Morristown, TN for a street festival featuring live music, great food, art and crafts, antiques and classic cars. 2011 is our fourth season and the monthly festivals have been a huge success with thousands of visitors enjoying the bands, fun, food, dancing, show cars and more. The Morristown Main Street Festival has become one of the biggest and most popular scheduled events in East Tennessee.

The Gibsons Southern GospelOur next Main Street Festival will be Friday, August 26, 2011 and will feature great Gospel music from the region including award winning Southern Gospel music artist "The Gibsons" from Hancock County singing their chart topping song "Footprints." See their web site at www.TheGibsonsSing.net for a sample and more information. Morristown, TN is known as "The Promised Land of Southern Gospel Music" due to our being the home town of numerous popular Southern Gospel musicians so we want to give honor to the Lord and celebrate that on Main Street. Other highly talented Gospel groups  and singers will be performing at the festival as well including Breath of Life Ministries and Rock of Ages Baptist Church and others so come prepared for a foot stomping, heart felt, soul uplifting great time on Main Street on Aug 26th!

For our September 23rd Main Street Festival we will be bringing back our famous BBQ theme with a twist and will be having BOTH Bluegrass AND Blues music! We are calling it the "Bluegrass, Blues and BBQ Feast"

In addition to the great music and fun at the Main Street Festival, we will have plenty of delicious food on hand, fresh squeezed lemonade, arts and crafts booths along with other festival favorites. The Hamblen County Car Club will bring their classic show cars and there will be new vendors offering cool stuff for festival goers.

There is no admission fee to attend the festival and it is 100% funded by the Downtown Morristown Association thru private donations, sponsors and vendor fees. Donations of course are accepted at the festival and if everyone would give as little as one dollar that would help tremendously.
